The full story

A large chunk of software engineering fresh graduates struggle to find jobs in the industry and usually spend 6 to 8 months in the process. There is a need for an end-to-end holistic solution that can help software engineering graduates get jobs, timely, in notable places. The scope of the project was not so clear initially, so the team decided to interview some potential users of the platform, in order to gain a deeper understanding. The focus group consisted of 3 fresh graduates, 2 reruiters, and 2 lecturers - a representation of all possible types of target audience.

Key Takeaways: Although fresh graduates have the preliminary academic knowledge and the ability to adapt to new environments, recruiters are still reluctant to hire them on the basis of not being ready for the industry.
