The difference is consequence. A wrong answer costs a click. A wrong action costs data, money, or a customer relationship, and the user often finds out afterwards.

Most agentic features are designed as though the agent were always right. The interesting design work is all in the other case.

    What the agent intends to do, shown before it does it, at a level of detail matched to the stakes.

    Stop, pause, and take over, available while the action is running rather than only before and after.

    A legible record of what the agent did, in what order, and on what basis. Users forgive mistakes they can see.

    The path back. What is reversible, what is not, and how the interface stays honest about the difference.

How much autonomy should we give an agent?+

Phoenux scopes autonomy to reversibility rather than to model quality. Actions that can be undone cheaply can run with less friction, while actions that touch money, data, or a customer relationship need preview, consent, and a path back.

What is different about designing for agents versus a chatbot?+

A chatbot answers and an agent acts. Phoenux designs agentic workflows around visibility and reversibility: what the user can see before an action runs, what they can interrupt, and how they recover when the agent does the wrong thing on their behalf.

Our agent works well in demos and gets abandoned in production. Why?+

Usually because a demo only shows the successful path. Phoenux finds that abandonment tracks to the first unexplained action rather than the first wrong one. People forgive mistakes they can see. They do not forgive a system that acted without telling them.
